National legislation report presents an overview of the legislation of the participating countries which is directly or indirectly related to the seawater heat pumps.
This study showed partners that there is a need for improvements and developments regarding their existing legislation. Therefore, changes regarding the legislative framework involving the licencing process for the installation of sea water heat pump systems are recommended concerning system definition, installation specifications, clarification of responsibilities of involved departments and technical issues and simplification of the process.
In the study the legislative acts which concern among others water temperature, installation of heating / cooling systems and domestic hot water production regarding sea water heat pumps and heat pumps in general including development of renewable energy sources (RES), energy related products and energy efficiency of buildings are outlined.
