SEADRION presentation at 6th International Congress Mechanical Engineers Days

From 20^th till 23^rd of March 6^th International Congress Mechanical Engineers Days was held in Vodice, Croatia.  The theme of the Congress was “Mechanical Technologies – Future Imperative”.

At the Congress a paper entitled “Analysis of different seawater intake methods for seawater to water heat pumps: SEADRION project” was presented. Within the presentation, project objectives, done studies and planned future work were presented. In the paper, the advantages and disadvantages of the seawater heat pump have been elaborated in detail, as well as the seawater intake methods and the necessary permits for seawater exploitation. Furthermore, the existing state, planned seawater intake methods and targeted energy and greenhouse gas saving of the tree pilot plants, whose design was planned within the project, were discussed.
